New Me Mini Zine Workshop
So in a few months, the year 2026 is going to be a wrap! I’d love to welcome you to make zines together! (And if you want, you can practice your Japanese or even make your zine in Japanese!)
The gathering will be reflection and creativity, where we pat each other’s shoulders and celebrate what we started (or had plans to start something but didn’t ) this year by making a “new me” mini zine.
The concept is that we are shaped by small everyday things, like starting your read or write, watering plants, failing to ride a bike or drink sufficient amount of water. We are in between who we are, who we want to be, or who we don’t wanna be. So I want to explore small moments of our lives through creating texts and art along with it in a form of zine. You can use this time as brainstorming or prototyping session too.
We will design mini 6-8pages zine and make them together. At the end of the session, you will take home at least one mini zine of yourself.
Through the process, I will give some Japanese words that could describe those situations or feelings. You can also try making zine partly(or all) in Japanese. I’m here to help!
