內容簡介 Description


二戰結束後印尼、馬來西亞等國逐步踏上民族獨立和民主化的過程,然而殖民制度所遺 下的權力體制和全球資本對底層人民的壓迫和暴力並沒有因此明顯減少。印尼龐克樂團 「Marjinal」和藝術組織「稻米獠牙」就是在這樣的背景下成立;藝術家們通過不同的創作 方式,上山下與人民共同創作,建立互聯與發聲的空間;過程不單讓更多人關注底層民 眾的處境,同時在建構一種強調平等、共同協作的倫理,提供偏重於個人性的當代藝術 生模式以外,另一種「藝術政治」的想像。隨後,「Marjinal」和「稻米獠牙」的實踐在印尼 各地開展,並促發周邊地域的新晉版畫組織,影響從鄰近的馬來群島及至在東北亞地區 ,例子見如沙巴的「龐克搖滾舍」、東京的「A3BC」、台北的「印刻部」、香港的「點印社」、 中國大陸的「木刻波流」等等。 

Asian countries like Indonesia and Malaysia gained independence and underwent the process of democratization after World War II; however, the colonial regime, state apparatus and transnational capital have never ceased to exert pressure and perpetrated violence against the underprivileged. The Indonesian punk band Marjinal and the woodblock printing collective Taring Padi were founded in such a historical context. The practice of Marjinal and Taring Padi have bloomed across Indonesia and fostered the birth of numerous woodblock printing collectives. Their influence soon extended as far as the woodblock printing network in Malaysia and contemporary art practitioners in East Asia. Examples include Pangrok Sulap in Sabah, A3BC (namely Anti-War, Anti-Nuclear and Arts of Block-print Collective) in Tokyo, Print & Carve Department in Taipei, Printhow in Hong Kong and Woodcut Wavement in Mainland China etc.

《亞際木刻圖繪》(又稱《木刻小誌》)以推動亞洲各地木刻實踐的經驗對話和知識生為 目標,透過訪談、研究、策劃等工作串聯各地實踐者,修繕行動與論述之間的縫隙。小組 希望透過亞際視角理解共同面對的難題,並提出跨地域、跨國籍的串連方式提出方案。 自2019年起,團隊以每年一刊方式製作期刊,至今已出版五期。
